CLEARWATER, Fla. – The Bridgewater State University women's lacrosse team posted a 15-6 victory over Wittenberg University on Monday at Spring Break Lacrosse in Clearwater, Florida.

The Bears improve to 2-3 on the season while the Tigers fall to 0-3.

Bridgewater led 5-2 after one quarter of play, 9-3 at the break and 13-4 at the end of three.

Sophomore attack Camryn Gonsalves (East Bridgewater, Mass.) notched three goals and a pair of assists to lead the way for the Bears, while freshman attack Katie Lamothe (Dartmouth, Mass.) added two goals and two assists and senior midfielder Delaney Langton (Scituate, R.I.) registered two goals and a helper. Senior midfielder Katie O'Brien (Pembroke, Mass.) also potted a pair of goals.

Langton, sophomore midfielder Erin McIntyre (Tewksbury, Mass.) and junior midfielder Haley Wood (Middleboro, Mass.) recorded three draw controls apiece. Langton also finished with six ground balls.

Senior goalkeeper Olivia Kerrigan (Braintree, Mass.) and sophomore netminder Brooke La Torra (Oak Park, Calif.) split the game between the pipes for the Bears. Kerrigan made three saves, while La Torra turned aside three shots.

The Bears will take on Swarthmore College on Tuesday afternoon at 12:30 in Clearwater while Wittenberg will face Swarthmore on Wednesday morning at 11.
