BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- Bridgewater State University seniors Kyle Ackroyd, Naomi Cass and Mitchell Parent earned United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic honors for the 2025 cross country season.

A total of 776 Division III student-athletes (419 women, 357 men) from across the nation earned USTFCCCA All-Academic honors. In order to qualify for All-Academic distinction, student athletes must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.30 on a 4.0 scale and finish in the top-25 percent of their respective regional championship meet.

Ackroyd, who is majoring in health science, checks in with a 3.863 GPA. The Charlestown, Rhode Island native placed 28th out of a field of 216 runners this past fall at the NCAA Division III Men's East Region Championships to earn USTFCCCA All-East Region honors.

An elementary education major with a 3.59 GPA, Cass placed fourth out of 216 harriers at the DIII Women's East Region Championships as she garnered USTFCCCA All-East Region honors and qualified for the NCAA Division III Championships for the third straight year.

Parent, who calls Cumberland Center, Maine home, is an aviation science (flight training) major with a 3.402 GPA. He placed 51st at the DIII Men's East Region Championships.

The Bridgewater State men's cross country squad also earned All-Academic Team distinction. The Bears, who are one of 416 teams (220 women, 196 men) from across the Division III landscape to garner the honor, posted an impressive team cumulative GPA of 3.39 through the fall 2025 semester.

In order to qualify for All-Academic distinction, teams must have a cumulative GPA of 3.1 on a 4.0 scale, including the most recent grading period..
