Olivia Pendleton Named MASCAC Women's Cross Country Rookie of the Week

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- For the third time this season, Bridgewater State University freshman Olivia Pendleton has been selected as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Women's Cross Country Rookie of the Week.

Pendleton finished 109th out of a field of 288 runners this past weekend at the Keene State Invitational. The Yarmouth Port, Massachusetts native covered the six-kilometer course in a career-best time of 24:57.40.

Pendleton also earned the honor back on September 3rd and September 23rd for her performances, respectively, at the season opening Suffolk Short Course Classic and 52nd Annual UMass Dartmouth Invitational.

The BSU women's cross country team will be back in action on Saturday, October 18th when the Bears head to Harkness Memorial State Park in Waterford, Connecticut for the Connecticut College Invitational.
