Naomi Cass Named MASCAC Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- For the third time this season, Bridgewater State University senior Naomi Cass has been selected as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week.

Cass placed ninth out of a field of 288 runners this past weekend at the Keene State Invitational. The Westport, Massachusetts product covered the six-kilometer course in a career-best time of 21:56.20.

A two-time NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships participant, Cass has earned MASCAC Runner of the Week honors 13 times over the course of her illustrious career.

The BSU women's cross country team will be back in action on Saturday, October 18th when the Bears head to Harkness Memorial State Park in Waterford, Connecticut for the Connecticut College Invitational.
