Naomi Cass Named MASCAC Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- For the second time this season, Bridgewater State University junior Naomi Cass has been selected as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week.

Cass placed sixth in a very strong field of 240 competitors this past weekend at the Keene State Invitational. The Westport, Massachusetts product covered the five-kilometer course in a personal-best time of 18:05.0.

The MASCAC Runner of the Week accolade marks the seventh of Cass' career as she also earned the honor five times during the 2023 campaign.

Following a weekend off, the BSU women's cross country team will compete at the Connecticut College Invitational held at Harkness Memorial State Park in Waterford, Connecticut.
