LA CROSSE, Wis. -- Bridgewater State University sophomore Grace Inacio (Taunton, Mass.) garnered Second Team All-America honors on Friday at the 2026 NCAA Division III Women's Outdoor Track & Field Championships held at the Veteran's Memorial Field Sports Complex in La Crosse, Wisconsin.
Inacio finished 16th in the preliminaries of the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.97 seconds. The top sprinter from each of the three heats in the 100 plus the next six fastest times advancd to Saturday's finals.
Placewinners nine to 16 earn USTFCCCA All-America Second Team accolades while the top eight garner first team honors.
Inacio qualified for the NCAAs with a school-record time of 11.89 seconds, set on April 25 at the MASCAC Championships in Fitchburg, Mass. She broke the mark of 11.99 set a year ago by Alison McDonough.
Inacio had also taken part in the NCAA Division III Indoor Championships in March at Birmingham, Ala. She placed 14th in the 200-meter race with a time of 24.88 seconds.
In May of 2025, Inacio made her NCAA debut as part of the BSU 4x100 relay team that was sixth for first-team All-America honors.
It marked the first time a women's relay team from BSU reached the nationals, and Inacio, McDonough, Kiara Abrantes and Jailene Escalera broke the school record in the preliminary race.
This spring, Inacio finished first or second in six of nine races and earned All-Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference, All-Division III New England and All-New England Intercollegiate Amateur Athletic Association honors.
