Inacio Earns All-New England Honors at DIII New Englands

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. -- For the second year in a row, Bridgewater State University sprinter Grace Inacio (Taunton, Mass.) has earned All-New England recognition in women's outdoor track & field.

The sophomore finished third in the 200-meter race on Saturday afternoon at the Division III New England Track & Field Championships at Blake Track.

Inacio earned the only points (six) for the Bears at the two-day meet, held on the campus of Springfield College.

Inacio finished the 200 in 24.94 seconds, trailing only Colby College junior Simone Waheed (24.35 seconds) and Connecticut College sophomore Blessing Kieh (24.61).

As a freshman in the 2025 outdoor season, Inacio took seventh in the 200 with a time of 24.99 seconds for All-New England honors. The top eight in each event received all-region recognition.

Inacio had two All-New England performances during the indoor championship meet on March 1. She was fifth in the 60-meter dash and eighth in the 200.

Earlier this season, Inacio was first in the 100 and 200 at the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships, setting a school record of 11.89 seconds in the 100.

She was also first in the200 at the BSU Bears Invitational and is a three-time conference Track Athlete of the Week this spring.

The only other BSU woman to compete at the New England meet on Saturday was sophomore Bella Grover (Warren, Mass.).

Grover finished 20th in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:07.97.

Next on the BSU schedule is the New England Intercollegiate Amateur Athletic Association Championships on Friday and Saturday at Stonehill College. The meet includes athletes from all three divisions.
