BOSTON, Mass. -- The Bridgewater State University women's indoor track & field team had five All-New England performances Sunday including a pair of school records by senior Kiara Abrantes (Somerset, Mass.).

Abrantes and sophomore Grace Inacio (Taunton, Mass.) were each recognized in two events while senior Naomi Cass (Westport, Mass.) placed in one at the Division III New England Championships.

Grace tied the Bears' school record in the 60-meter dash.

The meet was held at The Track at New Balance. The top eight performers in each event are All-New England.

Abrantes had the best showing for the Bears, finishing second in the 400 with a school record time of 55.24 seconds as she eclipsed her own previous indoor standard of 55.49 set earlier this season at the BU John Thomas Terrier Classic.

She trailed only sophomore Arielle Chechile (Palmer, Mass.) of Tufts University, whio ran in 55.10.

Abrantes finished fourth in the 200 with a school record time of 24.66 seconds eclipsing the previous mark of 24.68 she co-held with Inacio.

Inacio took fifth place in the 60 with a time of 7.71 seconds. She was eighth in the 200 with a time of 25.01. Inacio's preliminary time of 7.66 seconds equaled Abrante's school mark set earlier this season at the Tufts Branwen Smith King Invitational.

Cass was seventh in the 5,000 with a time of 17:41.86 for another All-New England honor.

Bridgewater State finished tied for 13th in the team standings with 20 points. Tufts won the meet title with 112 points followed by Williams College (108 pts.) in second place and MIT (78.50 pts.) in third.
