BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- Four members of the Bridgewater State University women's swimming & diving program have been selected to the 2025-2026 Academic All-District® One Division III Women's Swimming & Diving Team by the College Sports Communicators (CSC).

Earning the honor from Bridgewater State are seniors Ava Fenton and Cailey Simard, and juniors Jillian Hallman and Nellie Peecher. Simard is making her third straight appearance on the Academic All-District® One Team while Hallman is a two-time honoree.

The Bears accounted for four of the 25 student-athletes from the Little East Conference (LEC) named to the Academic All-District® One Division III Women's Swimming & Diving Team.

The 2025-2026 Academic All-District® Women’s Swimming & Diving Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances in the pool and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes swimming & diving honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

To be eligible for all-academic honors, a student-athlete must be a significant contributor, maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 on a scale of 4.00, have reached sophomore athletic and academic standings at her current institution and be nominated by her sports information director. A student-athlete must have also competed in at least five competitions or finish top-eight at a conference meet.

Fenton, who hails from Monument Beach, sports a 3.79 gade point average and is a communications major. A native of Haverhill, Massachusetts, Simard is majoring in physical education and checks in with a 3.91 GPA. Hallman, who calls Raynham, Massachusetts home, has a perfect 4.00 GPA while majoring in biology. A Barrington, Rhode Island product, Peecher is majoring in early childhood education and childhood studies with a 3.85 GPA to date.

Fenton, Simard, Hallman abd Peecher helped the BSU women's swimming & diving team place third at the Little East Championships this past February.

Fenton garnered All-Little East honors in the 200 medley relay (second place) and 50 butterly (third place). She was also fourth in both the 100-freestyle and 400 medley relay, and sixth in the 200 freestyle relay as well as the 400 freestyle relay.

Simard captured Little East Diver of the Year honors and placed first on both the one-meter and three-meter boards at the LEC Championships. A five-time Little East Diver of the Week recipient in 2025-2026 (29 times in her career), Simard competed at the DIII Northeast/North Regional Diving Championships for the third straight season (placing third on the one-meter board and 12th on the three-meter), and qualified for the NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championships for the second straight season.

Hallman earned All-Little East accolades with a third-place performance in the three-meter diving competition. She was also sixth on the one-meter board.

Peecher was ninth in the 800 freestyle relay at the LEC Championships as well as 11th in the 200 backstroke, 15th in the 1,650 freestyle and 18th in the 1,000 freestyle.
