Bears Picked to Win MASCAC Women's Soccer Crown
BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- The Bridgewater State University women's soccer team has been picked to finish first in the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) standings as the 2025 MASCAC Women's Soccer Preseason Coaches Poll was released today by conference director of media relations, Emily Loux.
BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- The Bridgewater State University women's soccer team has been picked to finish first in the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) standings as the 2025 MASCAC Women's Soccer Preseason Coaches Poll was released today by conference director of media relations, Emily Loux.
The defending champion Bears received 62 points in the conference poll including six first-place votes. Westfield State University is second in the poll with 58 points and a pair of first-place votes while Worcester State University rounds out the top three teams with 50 points and a first-place vote.
Under the guidance of head coach Yasmina Carvalho (12th Year), the BSU women's soccer team opens the 2025 campaign on Friday, August 29th when the Bears travel to Brandeis University for seven o'clock game with the Judges.
The 2025 home opener will take place on Wednesday, September 3rd at 7:00 PM against Johnson & Wales University.
The Bears will open MASCAC play on the road against Anna Maria College Saturday, September 6th at noon.
Returning All-MASCAC selections Logan Levesque (Sr., GK, Bristol, R.I.), Olivia Robarge (Sr., F, Pepperell, Mass.) and Jenna Sweeney (Sr., M, Wilmington, Mass.) will help lead the Bears in 2025.
The BSU women's soccer team posted a 12-5-3 record in 2024 including a 6-0-1 conference mark as the Bears captured both the MASCAC regular season and tournament titles while advancing to the NCAA Division III Tournament for the fourth time in program history and first since 2013.
