Three Bears Named to CSC Academic All-District® One Women's Soccer Team
BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- Three members of the Bridgewater State University women's soccer program have been selected to the 2024 Academic All-District® One Division III Women's Soccer Team by the College Sports Communicators (CSC).
BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- Three members of the Bridgewater State University women's soccer program have been selected to the 2024 Academic All-District® One Division III Women's Soccer Team by the College Sports Communicators (CSC).
Earning the honor from Bridgewater State are senior midfielder Makenna Lessard, junior goalkeeper Logan Levesque and junior forward Olivia Robarge.
Joining the three Bears on the 2024 Academic All-District® One Division III Women's Soccer Team from the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) are six student-athletes from MCLA and five from Westfield State University.
Lessard and Robarge are both two-time members of the CSC Academic All-District® One Division III Women's Soccer Team as they also earned the honor in 2023.
The 2024 Academic All-District® Women’s Soccer Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes soccer honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
To be eligible for all-academic honors, a student-athlete must be a starter or a key reserve, maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 on a scale of 4.00, have reached sophomore athletic and academic standings at her current institution and be nominated by her sports information director. A student-athlete must have also played in at least 90% of her team's contests for the 2023 season or started in 66% of the games.
Lessard is a health science major with a 3.62 grade point average. The East Bridgewater, Massachusetts resident and 2024 All-MASCAC selections appeared in 54 games over three seasons with the Bears, including 52 starts, after transferring from Bryant University. She recorded three goals and seven assists for 13 career points in a BSU uniform.
Also a health science major, Levesque sports a 3.56 GPA since arriving at Bridgewater State. The Bristol, Rhode Island product has played and started 50 games between the pipes over her first three seasons with 30 wins, 18 shutouts (16 solo) and a 1.30 goals against average to go along with 277 saves and an .812 save percentage. A three-time All-MASCAC honoree, Levesque ranks second among the Bears' all-time goaltending leaders in wins, third in shutouts, fourth in goals against average, sixth in both games played and minutes played (4423:40), and seventh in saves.
Robarge, who hails from Pepperell, Massachusetts, has produced an impressive 3.90 GPA while majoring in elementary education and childhood studies. A 2023 and 2024 All-MASCAC selection, Robarge has played in 55 games (42 starts) for the Bears over her first three seasons and has 22 goals (eight GWG) and six assists for 50 points. She ranks 14th all-time among the program's career scoring leaders.
Lessard, Levesque and Robarge helped the BSU women's soccer team post a 12-5-3 record in 2024 including a 6-0-1 conference mark. The Bears captured both the MASCAC regular season and tournament titles while advancing to the NCAA Division III Tournament for the first time since 2013 and fourth time in program history.
