BRISTOL, R.I. -- Bridgewater State University wrestler Sei Dolomengi (Brooklyn Park, Minn.) placed fourth in the 125-pound weight class to lead the Bridgewater State University wrestling team on Saturday at the Roger Williams Invitational Saturday.
Dolomengi, seeded fourth, won his first three matches at 125 pounds before losing to top-seeded Gavin Bradley of Vermont State Castleton by fall in the semifinals.
He opened with a victory by fall over John Kaminski of Roger Williams University and followed with a majority decision over Ben Fournier of Norwich University.
In the quarterfinal round, Dolomengi won by fall over freshman Noah Krzysztofiak of Southern Maine.
After losing in the semifinals, Dolomengi bounced back with a 14-7 decision over third-seeded Jackson Bauer of Coast Guard before dropping a 16-0 technical fall decision to sixth-seeded Luke Berktold of Wisconsin-Whitewater.
Dolomengi went 4-2 on the day.
Two other BSU wrestlers reached the quarterfinal round.
Junior Malcolm Chrispin (Hyde Park, Mass.) lost to second-seeded Hayden Myers of Wesleyan University by fall at 141 pounds.
Chrispin, the No. 7 seed, won a decision over Torin Bishop of Saint John Fisher to start the tournament and won a majority decision over Kiaben Kenney of Johnson & Wales.
Freshman Albert Ortiz won two matches to get to the quarterfinal round.
He was a majority decision winner over Aiden Sweetman of Norwich and won by fall over Nico Besteiro of Wisconsin Whitewater. The quarterfinal round went to Evan Day (Valley Falls, N.Y.) of Vermont State Castleton.
Winning one match to reach the round of 16 from BSU was sophomore Adam Distasio (Hopkinton, Mass.) at 125 pounds. He defeated Christian Falcon of Roger Williams.
At 133 pounds, freshman Christopher Dubey (Lowell, Mass.) won his opener and freshman Nathan Quinones (Bergenfield, N.J.) won his first match at 165 pounds.
