Caruso to Face #5 Cody Lovejoy at NCAA Wrestling Championships
BRIDGEWATER, Mass. – The brackets for the 2014 NCAA Division III Wrestling Championships were released today and Bridgewater State University senior heavyweight Ricky Caruso (Waltham, Mass.) will take on fifth-seeded junior Cody Lovejoy (Harrod, Ohio) of Ohio Northern University in opening round action on Friday morning at the U.S. Cellular Center in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. – The brackets for the 2014 NCAA Division III Wrestling Championships were released today and Bridgewater State University senior heavyweight Ricky Caruso (Waltham, Mass.) will take on fifth-seeded junior Cody Lovejoy (Harrod, Ohio) of Ohio Northern University in opening round action on Friday morning at the U.S. Cellular Center in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Caruso is unseeded in the heavyweight class as he enters the tournament with a record of 36-5 with 70 takedowns and 11 pins. Caruso earned the automatic qualifier to the NCAAs by placing third at the Northeast Regional held at Wesleyan University on March 1st and 2nd.
Lovejoy (40-3) is making his second straight appearance at the national championship meet. He was unseeded last year and went 0-2 at the tournament including an opening round loss to national runner-up Joseph Zitone of Centenary.
Opening round action of the two-day NCAA Division III Wrestling Championships is slated to get underway at approximately 11:00 AM on Friday.
