BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- For the third time this season, Bridgewater State University senior Kyle Ackroyd has been selected as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week.

Ackroyd finished 30th out of a field of 277 runners this past weekend at the Keene State Invitational. The Charlestown, Rhode Island product covered the eight-kilometer course in a time of 25:35.20 as he helped the Bears to a tenth place finish at the meet.

The MASCAC Runner of the Week honor marks the third of Ackroyd's career. He was selected as the MASCAC Men's Cross Country Rookie of the Week twice during his freshman campaign of 2022.

The BSU men's cross country team will be back in action on Saturday, October 18th when the Bears head to Harkness Memorial State Park in Waterford, Connecticut for the Connecticut College Invitational.
