Clayton Pastor Norales Named MASCAC Men's Outdoor Track & Field Rookie of the Week

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- Bridgewater State University freshman Clayton Pastor Norales has been selected as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men's Outdoor Track & Field Rookie of the Week.

A native of New Bedford, Massachusetts, Pastor Norales placed fourth in the long jump with a leap 22 feet, 1.75 inches (6.75m) this past weekend at the Amherst Spring Fling. He also finished 43rd in the 200-meter dash with a time of 24.68 seconds.

Pastor Norales Ccrrently ranks fourth in the East Region in the long jump and 73rd in all of Division III.

The MASCAC Rookie of the Week honor marks the first of Pastor Norales' career.

The outdoor season continues for the men's track & field team on Friday and Saturday as the Bears will compete at the Tufts Spring Invitational.
