Stalters Captures Javelin Title to Lead Men's Outdoor Track & Field at Emory Spring Break Classic

ATLANTA, Ga. -- Two members of the Bridgewater State University men's outdoor track & field team competed on a rainy and windy Friday afternoon at the Emory Spring Break Classic on the campus of Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia.

Senior Corey Stalters (Norton, Mass.) captured the meet title in the javelin with a toss of 177 feet, one inch (53.98m).

Junior Thomas Barinelli (Tewksbury, Mass.) tied for second in the high jump with a leap of five feet, 8.75 inches (1.75m). Barinelli also placed third in the long jump with a distance of 21 feet, six inches (6.55m).

The Emory Spring Break Classic continues on Saturday with Stalters competing in the shot put and Barinelli in the 100-meter dash.
