NEW BRITAIN, Conn. – Bridgewater State University sophomores Exondus Barnes (East Providence, R.I.) and Dimetri Morris (North Andover, Mass.) each earned All-New England honors on Saturday afternoon at the New England Intercollegiate Amateur Athletic Association (NEICAAA) Championships held at Veterans Stadium in New Britain, Connecticut.

Barnes broke his own school record in the high jump with a leap of six feet, seven inches (2.01m) as he placed third in the event. Barnes eclipsed his previous mark of six feet, six inches (1.98m) set earlier this season at the BSU Bears Invitational.

Morris placed fourth in the finals of the 110-meter hurdles with a career-best time of 14.93 seconds.

The Bears finished in a tie for 17th place in the team standings with 11 points.

Select members of the BSU men's outdoor track & field team will compete on Thursday, May 20th at the Tufts Last Chance Qualifier.
