SPRINGFIELD, Mass. -- Michael McPherson earned All-ECAC honors to lead the Bridgewater State University men's track and field team during day two of the ECAC Division III Championships held at Springfield College on Friday.
McPherson recorded a distance of 55 feet (16.76 meters) to place second in the shot put. The top eight placewinners in each event garner All-ECAC status.
Andy Sukeforth finished 14th in the 1,500-meter run with a time of 3:55.96, while Josh Goehring placed 23rd in the 800-meter run with a time of 1:55.94.
Dallas O'Brien was the 35th runner to cross the line in the 1,500 as he posted a time of 4:10.94.
Stephan Cawley finished 16th in the discus with a toss of 141 feet, nine inches (43.21 meters), while Christian Lavoie was 23rd in the event with a mark of 132 feet, 11 inches (40.52 meters).
The Bears finished tied for 31st place in the team standings with ten points. Bates College captured the team title with 79 points followed by Oneonta State University (55 pts.) and Tufts University (45.33 pts.)
