BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- Bridgewater State University freshman James Hein has been selected as the Little East Conference (LEC) Men's Rookie Swimmer of the Week.

Hein made his collegiate debut this past weekend at the Roger Williams Invitational as he placed fifth in the 100 freestyle (50.91), tenth in the 200 individual medley (2.11.27) and 14th in the 100 breaststroke (1:06.00).

A native of Holliston, Massachusetts, Hein also posted a 51.21 split on the second place 400 freestyle relay (3:19.82) squad and swam the breaststroke leg in 29.02 seconds on the Bears' 11th place 200 medley relay (1:47.25) team.

The BSU swimming and diving teams will entertain Wheaton College on Saturday afternoon at two o'clock from the Moriarty Pool.
