Aaron Fowler Named Little East Men's Swimmer of the Week

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- For the second time this season, Bridgewater State University junior Aaron Fowler has been selected as the Little East Conference (LEC) Men's Swimmer of the Week.

Fowler helped the Bears capture the BSU Invitational title for the sixth straight season as he won three individual events along with a pair of relays while breaking his own school record in the 200 butterfly.

The Brookline, Massachusetts native placed first in the 50 backstroke with a time of 25.15 seconds as well as the 100 individual medley with a time of 54.06 seconds. His winning time of 1:54.56 in the 200 fly eclipsed his previous mark of 1:55.91 set in 2024.

Fowler also swam a 22.51 butterfly split on the Bears' winning 200 medley relay squad (1:37.25) and posted a 47.09 split on the first-place 400 freestyle relay (3:14.13).

The Little East Swimmer of the Week accolade marks the 12th of Fowler's career as he also earned the honors six times as a freshman in 2023-2024 and four times last year as a sophomore.

The BSU men's swimming and diving team is off until after the New Year when the Bears host a tri-meet with Brandeis University and Keene State College on Saturday, January 17th.
