Cameron Walty Named MASCAC Men's Soccer Rookie of the Week

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- For the second straight week, Bridgewater State University freshman forward Cameron Walty has been selected as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men's Soccer Rookie of the Week.

A native of Weymouth, Massachusetts, Walty scored the game-winning goal in the Bears’ 1-0 MASCAC win on the road this past weekend over Westfield State.

In eight games this season, inlcluding three starts, Walty has two goals and four points as he is tied for third on the team in goals and tied for fifth in scoring.

The BSU men's soccer team is currently 5-5 on the season and 3-1 in the MASCAC. The Bears host conference rival Worcester State University on Saturday at noon.
