Fawaz Mass Named MASCAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week
BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- Bridgewater State University junior guard Fawaz Mass has been selected as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men's Basketball Player of the Week.
BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- Bridgewater State University junior guard Fawaz Mass has been selected as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men's Basketball Player of the Week.
A native of Taunton, Massachusetts, Mass averaged 17 points and 6.5 rebounds and was named to the All-Tournament Team at the season-opening Babson College Invitational. He also shot 77% (10-13) at the free throw line
Mass tallied 15 points and nine rebounds in a 76-67 semifinal round setback to Anna Maria College. He then connected for 19 points to go along with four rebounds and a steal in the Bears' 66-64 consolation game win over Framingham State University.
In 28 games over his first two seasons at Bridgewater State, Mass has recorded 160 points, 49 rebounds, 16 assists, ten assists and four blocked shots.
The schedule continues for Mass and the BSU men's basketball team on Tuesday night as the Bears travel to MIT for an eight o'clock game with the Engineers.
