Semifinal Pairings Set for MASCAC Basketball Tournaments

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- With the MASCAC men's and women's basketball tournament opening round games in the books, pairings for Thursday's evening's semifinal round have been set.

On the women's side, top-seeded Bridgewater State will host #4 Salem State at 5:30, while second-seeded Westfield State will entertain #3 Framingham State at seven.

In first round action on Tuesday night, Salem posted an 81-63 victory over #5 Fitchburg State while Framingham defeated #6 Worcester State, 75-63.

On the men's side, second-seeded Bridgewater State will host #3 Worcester State at 7:30, while top-seeded Salem State will entertain #5 MCLA at seven.

In first round action on Tuesday night, Worcester posted a 71-51 victory over #6 Framingham State while MCLA knocked off #4 Westfield State, 89-67, on the road.

Both Bridgewater State semifinal round games will be webcast live at www.mascac.tv.
