Football Reports for Preseason Camp

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- The Bridgewater State University football team began preparation for the 2021 season as over 100 players reported to preseason camp on Thursday and hit the practice field for the first time on Friday morning.

Head Coach Joe Verria's Bears open the 2021 campaign on Saturday, September 4th when they travel to Ithaca College for a one o'clock non-conference game with the Bombers.

Following the season' opener, the Bears will play three straight games on the friendly confines of Swenson Field starting with a September 11th (1:00 PM) non-conference tilt with the University of New England Nor'easters.

Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) play gets underway on Saturday, September 18th at home against Plymouth State University followed by the lone Friday night game of the season, a six o'clock home matchup against Western Connecticut State University on September 24th.

The 2021 Homecoming Game on Saturday, October 23rd (4:00 PM) will feature MASCAC opponent Westfield State University. The Bears wrap up their home schedule on Saturday, October 30th at noon against UMass Dartmouth.

Once again, the season culminates with the annual Cranberry Bowl game versus MASCAC rival Massachusetts Maritime Academy. The 42nd version of the Cranberry Bowl will take place at Clean Harbors Stadium in Buzzards Bay on Saturday, November 13th at noon.
