Elvis Romero Named to D3football.com Team of the Week
BRIDGEWATER, Mass. – Bridgewater State University sophomore defensive tackle Elvis Romero has been selected to the D3football.com Team of the Week for games of September 19th and 20th.

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- Bridgewater State University sophomore defensive tackle Elvis Romero has been selected to the D3football.com Team of the Week for games of September 18-20.
Romero notched eight tackles (seven solo) including four tackles for loss and a pair of sacks in the Bears' 51-27 MASCAC win on the road over Worcester State this past weekend. The Wayne, New Jersey product also recovered a fumble in the victory over the Lancers.
Through three games this season, Romero has recorded 15 tackles (14 solo), five tackles for loss and three sacks to go along with a forced and recovered fumble. He is tied for fourth in the MASCAC with his three sacks, tied for sixth in tackles for loss and tied for eighth in solo tackles.
In 12 games over his first two seasons with the Bears, Romero has amassed 24 tackles (22 solo), six tackles for loss and four sacks.
The BSU football team is currently 2-1 on the season. The Bears entertain MASCAC foe Fitchburg State University on Friday night at seven.
