BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- Twenty-two Bridgewater State University student-athletes have been named to the 2025-2026 Little East Conference (LEC) Winter All-Academic Team which was announced by LEC Associate Commissioner, Darryl Konicki.
The 22 BSU student-athletes include 12 members of the women's swimming & diving team and ten representatives from the men's swimming & diving squad.
To be named to the LEC All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must be at least in sophomore standing in the classroom, have a cumulative GPA of 3.30 or higher through the previous semester, and have been at their current institution for at least one full academic year.
Receiving the honor as members of the women's swimming & diving team are seniors Ava Fenton (Monument Beach, Mass.), Hannah Flockton (Plymouth, Mass.), Julie Remson (Norwalk, Conn.), Molly Roberts (Weymouth, Mass.) and Cailey Simard (Haverhill, Mass.); juniors Ava Anderson (Lynn, Mass.), Saje Cosby (Dorchester, Mass.) Jillian Hallman (Raynham, Mass.) and Nellie Peecher (Barrington, R.I.); and sophomores Evangelina Chaves (Raynham, Mass.), Sonja Poley (Pocasset, Mass.) and Gianna Varady (Highland Park, N.J.).
Representing the men’s swimming & diving team are seniors Brendan Goff (Planville, Mass.), Jacob Jope (East Freetown, Mass.), Ryan McKenzie (Charlton, Mass.) Desmond Ng (Petaling Jaya, Malaysia) and Oliver Taradash (North Dartmouth, Mass.); juniors Dane Connor (Andover, Mass.), Aaron Fowler (Brookline, Mass.), Drew Lawrence (Winchendon, Mass.) and Sean Taylor (South Dennis, Mass.); and sophomore Oleksandr Lysyi (Boston, Mass.).
The Little East Conference began honoring an all-academic team during the 2007-08 academic year. While the majority of Bridgewater State varsity squads are members of the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC), four BSU teams call the Little East home. Women’s tennis competes in the Little East in the fall, men's and women's swimming & diving in the winter, and men’s tennis in the spring.
