Eight Bears Earn USTFCCCA All-East Region Honors

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- The Bridgewater State University men's and women's track & field programs saw eight student-athletes garner NCAA Division III All-East Region honors as the U.S. Track & Field & Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) handed out its awards for the 2026 outdoor season.

The top-8 individuals in each event from each region on the year-end Athletic.net Descending Order Lists earned All-Region distinction, in addition to each member of the region's top-8 relay teams. The regions used for this award – Great Lakes, Metro, Mid-Atlantic, Mideast, Midwest, Niagara, North, Northeast, South, and West – match those used during the cross country season.

On the women's side, BSU sophomore Grace Inacio (Taunton, Mass.) earned All-East Region honors in the 100-meter dash and 200-meter dash, while senior Naomi Cass (Westport, Mass.) garnered all-region accolades in the 10,000-meter run.

Inacio finished the season ranked fourth in the East Region in the 100 (11.89) and sixth in the 200 (24.62) while Cass was fifth in the 10,000 (36:02.48). Inacio's time in the 100 set a school record.

Junior Matthew Mooney (Douglas, Mass.), freshman Clayton Pastor Norales (New Bedford, Mass.) and the 4x400-meter relay team featuring senior Chris Beaulieu (Monson, Mass.), junior Aydan Fournier (Assonet, Mass.), senior Nicholas Grace (Acushnet, Mass.) and senior Ryker King (Wareham, Mass.) are the six representatives from the BSU men's squad to garner USTFCCCA All-East Region status.

Mooney was eighth in the region in the 100-meter dash (10.72) while Pastor Norales was sixth in the long jump (22'11.25"/6.99m). The relay squad was seventh in the 4x400 (3:19.95).

Inacio qualified for the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships which will take place later this week at the Veteran's Memorial Field Sports Complex in La Crosse, Wisconsin.
