BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- Bridgewater State University graduate student Alison McDonough has been selected as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Women's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week.
McDonough captured top honors in both the 100-meter dash and 100-meter hurdles this past weekend at the Tufts Snowflake Classic. The Halifax, Massachusetts product posted a time of 12.35 seconds in the 100 and 14.95 seconds in the hurdles.
McDonough is currently ranked 20th in all of Division III in the hurdles and second in the East Region. She is also ranked fourth in the East Region in the 100.
The MASCAC Track Athlete of the Week honor marks the 20th of McDonough's career including eight outdoor distinctions.
The outdoor season continues for the women's track & field team on Saturday as the Bears will compete at the Amherst Spring Fling.
