Nolan Earns All-NEISDA Honors to Lead Swim Teams at NEISDA Division II/III Championships

WHITE RIVER JUNCTON, Vt. --  Junior Chelsea Nolan (Lowell, Mass.) garnered All-NEISDA honors at the New England Intercollegiate Swimming & Diving Association (NEISDA) Division II/III Swimming Championships held at the Upper Valley Aquatics Center in White River Junction, Vermont.

Nolan placed fourth in the 1,000 freestyle with a time of 11:02.52, more than ten seconds better than her previous season-best of 11:13.12.  Nolan was also just slightly more than two seconds off the BSU school mark of 10:59.44 set by Meaghan Thomas in 2005.

The top eight finishers in individual events and the top four in the relays earn All-NEISDA honors.

After two days of events, the BSU women's team is in ninth place with a score of 303 points, while on the men's side, the Bears' men's squad is in 11th place with 71 points.

Keene State (1,125 pts.) is in first place in the women's standings followed by Eastern Connecticut (783.5 pts.) and Roger Williams (703 pts.).  Keene State (688.5 pts.) is also leading in the men's standings followed by Roger Williams (498 pts.) and UMass Dartmouth (282 pts.).
