Elizabeth Ettridge Named MASCAC Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- Bridgewater State University sophomore midfielder Elizabeth Ettridge has been selected as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week.

A native of Marshfield, Massachusetts, Ettridge tallied seven goals and two assists for nine points in a 1-1 week for the Bears. She also recorded three draw controls and a ground ball.

Ettridge scored a career-high five goals, dished out an assist and registered two draw controls in the Bears’ 15-8 win over Mount Holyoke College. She also notched two goals and a helper to go along with a ground ball and a draw control in a 14-3 season-opening setback to Babson College.

In 20 games over her first two seasons with the Bears, Ettridge has amassed 40 goals and 15 assists for 55 points to go along with 21 ground balls and 30 draw controls.

Last season, Ettridge was named the MASCAC Rookie of the Year and was an All-MASCAC First Team selection. She also garnered MASCAC Rookie of the Week honors four times over the course of the campaign.

The BSU women’s lacrosse team is currently 1-1 on the young season. The Bears travel to Port Charlotte, Florida this week for a pair of games with Alfred University on Wednesday, March 8th and Kenyon College on Friday, March 10th.
