Men's Track & Field

Corey Stalters joined the Bears' track & field coaching staff in the fall of 2025 and serves as the throws coach. Stalters is 2023 graduate of Bridgewater State where he earned an undergraduate degree in marketing. Corey also earned an MBA from BSU in 2025. As a graduate student, he was a GA in the athletics & recreation department helping out with intramurals.

A native of Norton, Massachusetts, Stalters was an outstanding javelin thrower for the Bears. He was a four-time NCAA qualifier in the javelin earning All-American honors in 2022 (5th place), 2024 (4th place) and 2025 (6th place). Corey was also a two-time BSU Athlete of the Year (2022-23, 2024-25). See below for more of Corey's track & field accomplishments.

Outdoor 2025, Javelin stats:

• 6^th place at the DIII NCAA Track & Field National Championship (3^rd time as an All-American)
• 1^st place Open New England Championship with 68.29m (first DIII athlete to win event since 2019)
• 2^nd place Division III New England Championship (series: 68.94m, 63.95m, 68.11m, 66.37m 67.46m, 68.45m)* furthest series in all of NCAA DIII in 2025
• 1^st place MASCAC Conference Championship (and 1^st in shot put, 15.12m). Jav series: 61.09, 65.89, 61.49, 62.07,65.64, 59.17
• 1^st place BSU Bears Invite (68.30m) Series: 63.62, 68.30, 65.06, 57.61, F, 64.87

• USTFCCCA All-Region in both shot put and javelin; MASCAC All-Conference in javelin and shot.  
• School record 68.94m in javelin; ranks #17 on all-time NCAA DIII list for event.
• 6 throws over 68m in 2025 (68.94, 68.45, 68.40, 68.30, 68.29, 68.11), all of which would rank within the top 21 of all-time DIII NCAA list.
• Ranked on the weekly All-College (all divisions) ranking list for event on 5 occasions though season (#15, #14, #20, #19, #5)

Indoor 2024-2025: Placed 5^th in the shot put (14.78m) at the Bryant Throws Competition. Placed 1^st in the shot put (15.02m) at the Tufts Branwen Smith King Invite. Placed 1^st in the shot put (14.90m) at the Reggie Open. Placed 1^st in the shot put (14.39m) at the Wheaton Post-Season Qualifier. Placed 4^th in the shot put (15.56m) at the Division III New England Track & Field Championship. Placed 8^th in the shot put (14.49m) at the NEICAAA Championship. USTFCCCA All-Region Honoree in the shot put. Note: the 2025 Indoor MASCAC Championship was not held.

Outdoor 2024: Placed 1st in the javelin (61.59m) and 4th in the shot put (15.31m) at the Kennesaw State Invite. Placed 5th in discus and 2nd in shot put at the Amherst Spring Fling. Placed 2nd in the shot put (15.20m) at the Silfen Invite. Placed 5th in the javelin at the UConn Northeast Challenge. Placed 1st in the javelin, 1st in the shot put and 4th in the discus at the Tufts Sunshine Classic. Placed 1st in the shot put, 3rd in the javelin and 3rd in the discus (42.64m, personal best) at the MASCAC Outdoor Championship. Placed 6th in the shot put and 2nd in the javelin (61.35m) at the Division III New England Championship. Placed 4th in the javelin (62.91m) at the NEICAAA Championship. Placed 4th in the javelin (63.89m), receiving All-American Honors at the NCAA Division III National Outdoor Championship. Shot put ranks as 2nd and discus ranks as 9th on the all-time BSU outdoor performers list. Recieved USTFCCCA All-Region Honors. Outdoor MASCAC All-Conference Team. Recognized as MASCAC Men's Field Athlete of Week on one occasion.

Indoor 2024:Placed 7th in shot put with a personal best (14.44m) at Suffolk Invite. Placed 1st in shot put with a personal best (15.29m) and placed 10th in the 60 at the UMass Beacon Invite. Placed 2nd in the shot put with a personal best (15.31m) at the Lyon Invite. Placed 1st in the shot put (15.18m) and 9th in the 60 with a personal best (7.27s) at the Massasoit Classic. Placed 9th in the shot put and 16th in the 60 with a personal best (7.24s) at the Riverhawk Invite. Placed 2nd in the shot put at the Tufts Cupid Classic. Placed 1st in the shot put with a personal best (15.90m) and placed 5th in the 60 with a personal best (7.11s) at the Indoor MASCAC Championship. Placed 3rd in the shot put (15.84m) at the Division III New England Championship. Shot put ranks 3rd on the all-time BSU indoor performers list. 60 ranks 9th on the all-time BSU performers list. Recognized as MASCAC Men's Field Athlete of the Week on 3 occasions. Indoor MASCAC All-Conference Team. Recieved USTFCCCA All-Region Honors.
