BOSTON, Mass -- At day one of the New England Intercollegiate Amateur Athletic Association (NEICAAA) Indoor Track and Field Championships hosted by Boston University, the Bears had four individuals compete in four events, with two athletes doubling events.

Josh Goehring (Haverhill, Mass) was the only Bear to qualify for the finals tomorrow, placing sixth in the 500-meter run with a time of 1:05.49.

Brian Espinosa (Rehoboth, Mass) broke the school record in the 200-meter dash with a time of 22.17 seconds. The previous record, set earlier this year on the same track by teammate Joseph Danner-Hicks (Haverhill, Mass), was 22.36 seconds.

Tomorrow, the second and final day of competition, numerous individual athletes will compete for the Bears.
