Men's Tennis Falls to Clark, 8-1

WORCESTER, Mass. – The Clark University men's tennis team defeated visiting Bridgewater State University, 8-1, on Friday afternoon at the Corash Tennis Courts in Worcester.

Clark won all three doubles matches, led by Diego Angel and Dan Paradee. That combination, playing at No. 1, posted an 8-4 win.

Harris Rollinger and Dan Hall combined to post an 8-5 win at No. 2, and then Aaron Chin and Spencer Brightman won 9-8.

Angel posted a straight set victory (6-2, 6-1) at No. 1 singles, while Rollinger collected a 6-4, 7-6 win at No. 2 and Chin notched a 6-1, 6-2 win.

Hall continued the wins for Clark, registering a 6-1, 6-2 win at No. 4, and Paradee won in straight sets, 6-1, 6-1 at the fifth spot.

The Bears lone victory of the day came at No. 6 singles, where freshman Cody Farrell (Scituate, Mass.) secured the three-set marathon with Brightman. He dropped the first set 6-4, but bounced back to take the second (6-3) and the third (10-7).

Clark, now 4-10, will return to NEWMAC action on Saturday with a home contest against Coast Guard, while Bridgewater State falls to 7-6 overall. They will host UMass-Dartmouth on Wednesday.
