Mike Bunszell joined the Bridgewater State football coaching staff in the summer of 2021. After coaching for one season at West Bridgewater High School in 2023, Mike returned to the BSU sidelines in 2024. Bunszell played three seasons of college football as a wide receiver at Plymouth State College (1985-86) and Bridgewater State (1987). He went on to play semi-pro football for the Middleboro Cobras and helped the team capture a Super Bowl title in 1988 as the Cobras were crowned Division B National Champions. That season, Mike received the Most Improved Player Award. Mike started coaching in 1990 at the youth football level then moved to the high school level at Oliver Ames High School followed by 12 years at Bridgewater-Raynhan Regional High School. Mike is the President of Swift Hub Window Cleaning. He presently resides in Bridgewater, Massachusetts with his wife, Barbara. They have two daughters, Eva and Rose, and a grandson, Marlon.
