Jon Gold joined the Bridgewater State University baseball coaching staff in the summer of 2019. Jon is a 2016 graduate of Emmanuel College where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology with a concentration in counseling. He also obtained his Master of Arts degree in mental health counseling from Boston College in 2018. While at Emmanuel, Jon served as the president of the club baseball program for two seasons.
Jon is currently the head coach and field manager of the Norfolk Redbirds (Virginia) of the Tidewater Summer Collegiate Baseball League. Prior to joining the BSU baseball coaching staff, he was an assistant coach at Albertus Magnus College in 2019 and spent three seasons coaching the Fenway (Boston) High School baseball team from 2016 to 2018. Jon took over the head coaching duties at Fenway for the 2018 season and guided his squad to an MIAA state tournament appearance.
Gold also served as an assistant coach for the Bancroft Bandits of the Pioneer Collegiate Baseball League (PCBL) in 2018 as well as the freshmen co-head coach at Brookline High School in 2015 and the head coach of the Brookline American Legion (Post 11) in 2014.
