Week Ahead: Monday, Feb. 16 to Sunday, Feb. 22

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- Here's a look at the week ahead (Feb. 16-22) for the Bridgewater State University athletics teams:

WEDNESDAY

WOMEN'S LACROSSE, at home, Wheaton College, 3:00 PM: The Bears open the 2026 season by hosting the Lyons at Mazzaferro Field.

BSU had lost 10 of its previous 11 games to Wheaton before winning, 18-8, last season, scoring the first six goals of the game.

The Bears went 14-5 a year ago while Wheaton was 8-9.

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL, at home, Framingham State, 5:30 PM: The Bears play their final regular-season home game, seeking to clinch the outright Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference title.

BSU (14-9) is 12-0 in the conference, two games ahead of the Rams (14-9, 10-2 MASCAC). The Bears won at Framingham State, 66-57, on Jan. 24 with Reese Bartlett getting 19 points, eight rebounds, five assists and four steals.

Both teams are on winning streaks with BSU having won 13 straight and the Rams six in a row.

This will be the Black History Month Game.

MEN'S BASKETBALL, at home, Framingham State, 7:30 PM: The Bears will have Senior Night before closing out the Tinsley Center schedule for the 2025-26 season.

BSU is 7-16 and 5-7 in the MASCAC with two straight losses while the Rams are 13-10 and 6-6 in the conference.

The Bears rallied from seven points down with eight minutes left to win at Framingham State, 101-98, on Jan. 24 with Josh Campbell scoring 33 points.

SATURDAY

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL, at Worcester State, Noon: The Bears conclude the regular season by facing the Lancers.

BSU won the first meeting at home on Jan. 28, 83-49, with freshman Emilie von der Linden getting 18 points, 10 rebounds and three blocked shots.

The Lancers begin the week with a 9-14 record, 6-6 in the MASCAC with two straight losses.

The Bears will be idle after this until Thursday, Feb. 26 when they host a MASCAC semifinal-round game.

WOMEN'S LACROSSE, at home, Salve Regina, 1:00 PM: The Bears are playing three straight and four of the first games this season at Mazzaferro Field.

A year ago, BSU began its schedule with a 13-9 win at Salve Regina, breaking a 9-9 tie with four goals in the last 12:05.

Salve Regina went 5-11 and 4-6 in the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference last season.

MEN'S BASKETBALL, at Worcester State, 2:00 PM: The Bears play their 25th and final game of the regular season.

BSU lost at home to the Lancers on Jan. 28, 101-93, despite Campbell, Zach Taylor and Sam Sweeney combining for 68 points.

Worcester State (11-12) enters the week on a three-game winning streak and is second in the MASCAC at 9-3.
