BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- Here's a look at the week ahead (Nov. 25-Dec. 1) for the Bridgewater State University athletics teams:

TUESDAY

MEN'S BASKETBALL, Rhode Island College, at home, 5:30 PM: The Bears (4-2) play their final game of November, hosting the Anchormen (2-3) at the Tinsley Center.

RIC has lost its last two games against Brandeis and Amherst. The Anchormen defeated BSU a year ago in Providence, 85-72, with Ousmane Kourouma getting 16 points, 10 rebounds and four blocked shots.

BSU is 18-20 against RIC since they first met in 1985. The Bears defeated the Anchormen, 96-72, in Bridgewater in November 2022.

The Bears will have 10 days off after this game before playing the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth on Dec. 7.

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL, Rhode Island College, at home, 7:30 PM: The Bears (4-1, four wins in a row) will be looking to stop a six-game losing streak to the Anchorwomen.

BSU's last win over RIC was on Nov. 22, 2016 by a 43-37 score. The Bears trail in the series, 19-15.

RIC went 29-1 a year ago, losing in the sectional semifinal round of the NCAA tournament to Washington and Lee University, 61-55, after winning its first two postseason games.

The Anchorwomen (2-1) defeated the Bears a year ago, 71-58, despite 25 points by BSU's Kylie Grassi.

This closes out the November portion of the Bears' schedule. They return for a Dec. 3 game at home against Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
