WORCESTER, Mass. -- Senior Samantha Richner (Hanson, Mass.) is currently in second place in the heptathlon after four events at the two-day Holy Cross Multi-Meet.
Richner has 2,831 points through the first four events as she trails only Janel Conley (3,255 pts.) of Division I University of Rhode Island.
Richner posted a score of 795 points in the high jump (5'5"/1.65m), 773 points in the 100-meter hurdles (15.53), 715 points in the 200-meter dash (26.95) and 548 points in the shot put (33'8.75"/10.28m).
Sophomore Patricia Healion (Medford, Mass.) is currently in 18th place. Healion recorded a score of 588 points in the high jump (4'9.75"/1.47m), 582 points in the 200 (28.63), 440 points in the hurdles (18.48) and 386 points in the shot put (25'6.75"/7.79m).
The meet concludes on Thursday with the heptathletes competing in the long jump, javelin and 800-meter run.
