BRIDGEWATER, Mass. – Bridgewater State University junior Molly Rouillard has been selected as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Women’s Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week.
A native of Dartmouth, Massachusetts, Rouillard took top honors in the 10,000-meter run with a time of 37:29.04 at the Stonehill Skyhawk Invitational this past weekend as she qualified for three postseason championships (DIII New England, ECAC, NEICAAA).
Rouillard also ran a leg on the Bears' ECAC qualifying 4 x 400-meter relay squad which placed second at the meet with a time of 4:04.82.
Through the first four meets of the 2012 outdoor campaign, Rouillard has qualified individually for the Division III New England Championships and ECAC Championships in both the 10,000 and the 5,000.
In two years on the BSU women’s track & field team, Rouillard has set three individual school indoor marks (400-meter dash, 3,000-meter run, Mile). She has also been a part of four relay records during the indoor (4x400, 4x800, DMR) and outdoor (4x400) seasons.
Rouillard also competes on the Bears’ women’s cross country team where she captured back-to-back MASCAC Runner of the Year honors over the last two years.
The outdoor season continues for the BSU track and field teams on Saturday as the Bears will compete at the MIT Invitational.
