BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- Bridgewater State University freshman midfielder Tess Nagle has been selected as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Women's Soccer Rookie of the Week.
A native of Pembroke, Massachusetts, Nagle netted her first collegiate goal in the Bears' 2-0 MASCAC victory over Framingham State University this past Saturday.
In seven games this season, Nagle has a goal and an assist for three points. She picked up her first career point, an assist, earlier this season in the Bears' 5-0 conference win over Massachusetts Maritime Academy.
Nagle has also been an integral part of Bridgewater's outstanding team defense. The Bears have allowed just five goals in nine games this season and produced six shutouts.
The BSU women's soccer team is currently 3-2-4 on the season and 2-0-1 in MASCAC play. The Bears host non-conference foe Roger Williams University on Wednesday night at seven.
