Ana Moniz Named to Women's Soccer Coaching Staff

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. – Bridgewater State University head women’s soccer coach, Lou Verrochi, announced the addition of Ana Moniz to his coaching staff.

Moniz is a 2006 graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology.  She played four seasons for the Division I Knights from 2002 to 2005, tallying 12 goals and 13 assists for 37 points in 75 career games.

Moniz is currently the President and Coaching Director for Blackhawks Soccer, a club organization in her hometown of Bridgewater which focuses on providing a place for local kids to learn the game of soccer and compete at a high level. She also coaches the Blackhawks' U11 and U14 teams.

Moniz, who played high school soccer at Bridgewater-Raynham Regional, also played for the semi-pro Boston Renegades in 2002 and the Massachusetts Stingers in the Women's Premier Soccer League from 2003 to 2006.  Moniz also took part in the Portuguese National Team training camp in 2004.
