Craig Shadduck Named MASCAC Men's Soccer Player of the Week

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. – Bridgewater State University junior defender Craig Shadduck has been selected as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men’s Soccer Player of the Week.

Shadduck netted three goals, including pair of game-winners, to help the Bears go 2-0 on the week with wins over Southeastern Massachusetts rival Wheaton College and MASCAC foe MCLA.  The Braintree, Massachusetts native potted two goals in a 4-2 victory over the Lyons, and collected the lone second half tally in a 1-0 conference triumph over the Trailblazers.

Shadduck has produced four goals and two assists for ten points in 14 games for the Bears this season.  He is tied for seventh in the MASCAC in goals and tied for 11th in scoring.

In 49 games, including 41 starts, over his first three seasons with the Bears, Shadduck has amassed 12 goals and nine assists for 33 points.

The Bridgewater State University men’s soccer team heads into the final week of the regular season with an overall record of 7-7-1.  The Bears are currently in fourth place in the MASCAC standings with a 3-2-1 conference mark.

Bridgewater travels to UMass Dartmouth on Tuesday for a non-conference game with the Corsairs (7:00 PM) and then heads to Westfield State on Saturday to take on the Owls at noon.  A win over Westfield and the Bears would be the third seed in next week’s MASCAC Tournament.
