2012 NEISL Senior All-Star Team (PDF)
BRIDGEWATER, Mass. – Bridgewater State University senior midfielder Tucker Fairbanks has been selected to compete in the 2012 New England Intercollegiate Soccer League (NEISL) Division III Senior All-Star Game which will take place at Harvard Stadium on Sunday, November 25th at 11:00 AM.
In four seasons at Bridgewater State, Fairbank played in 68 games and made 65 starts in the Bears' midfield. The Plympton, Massachusetts product finished with five goals and five assists for 15 career points. Two of his five goals were game-winners.
Fairbanks helped the Bears post an overall record of 37-27-7 (.570) over the past four seasons with a 17-6-5 (.696) mark in Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) play. Bridgewater captured the MASCAC regular season title during his freshman season of 2009.
This past season, the BSU men's soccer team went 9-9-1 and finished in fourth place in the MASCAC standings with a 3-3-1 conference mark. The Bears defeated fifth-seeded Worcester State in the MASCAC Tournament semifinals, 2-1, before dropping a 3-1 decision to top-seeded Salem State in the semifinals.
This marks the third straight year and fourth time in the last five years that Bridgewater State will be represented at the NEISL Senior All-Star Game. Former standouts Donald Flores and Dan Roberts were both selected in 2011, Mike White in 2010 and Jon Machado in 2008.
Fairbanks and Massachusetts Maritime Academy goaltender Brett Young are the only two representatives from the MASCAC selected to play in the this year's all-star game.
